This week we would like to introduce you to Clement Gilles
Clement is a vineyard worker here at Isabel who hails from the Rhone Valley in the South of France and has been travelling New Zealand for the past 9 months.
He originally started his tour of NZ in Walkworth working in hospitality, then headed south to Napier where he spent some time apple picking and finally arrived on our door step at Isabel around 2 and a half months ago.
Clement has always wanted to work in a vineyard and applied as a WWOOFer (Willing Workers On Organic Farms) at Isabel becuase he thought it would be a “good experience” and “a great way to see Marlborough”. He has really enjoyed his time in New Zealand so far but commented that he does miss his little Sister, his friends back in France and French rugby!
He will be leaving us after we help him celebrate his 21st Birthday here next week, to continue his tour of New Zealand. Heading south to explore Christchurch, Queenstown and Fiordland for 6 weeks before returning home to France.
We wish him all the best for his future adventures.
